Is Being Frugal Worth It?

Frugality is simply the practice of looking for the less expensive alternatives. Frugality doesn't have to mean being a scrooge or living without comfort. Is it really worth the time and effort you put into things like homemade cleaners and clipping coupons?
Search the Sunday paper for coupons and clip them out. Make a list of things on sale that you can stock up on in order to get your average cost down. Plan and run a route of four stores in order to get everything where it is the cheapest. Total extra time spent: three hours. Now, save sixty dollars. This translates into twenty dollars an hour-a pretty good deal, don't you think?
Sometimes the small stuff is the big stuff, especially when it is repeated over and over. This is why it makes sense to save money on groceries. They are something you buy every week. Saving sixty dollars every week or two adds up over time. How you do it makes a difference though.
For example, suppose you don't want to clip coupons or spend time looking at sales flyers. Why not invest just an hour or two to figure out which store is cheapest for the things you buy? Then shop only there, and buy more of the things you use and like when they are on sale. You might still save $20 per week, with no additional investment of time. That's a $1,000 per year!
You need to sit down and decide how much time you have to spend on your efforts. If you do this and then figure out what your yearly savings can be, you will have a much clearer idea of how you want to proceed. It will also give you encouragement on those days when it feels you are missing out on something.

Is Having An About Me And Contact Me Page Really Important??

Is it really important to have an about me page or a contact me page on a blog? At first I did not have either one of these set-up on my blog, actually many bloggers do not have these elements on their blogs. While reading up on Mike Haung's Bloggin-Ads.com I read is post on the Importance Of Having An About Me and Contact Me Page on your blog. Now this post really got me thinking about my blog and what I was missing out on. What hit me the most was the fact that how can my readers get a hold of me if I am not giving them the way to do so.
The next thing that hit home was that you should ad as many ways for your readers to add you as a friend in social networks. Makes sense right? The more options we give our readers the more loyal the will be. The cool thing is even if you already have these pages set-up you can benefit from Mike's post.

Do you Want Low Cost Traffic

Ever wonder how big hit sites drive traffic to their sites? Well the way they are doing it is pretty simple, they set up some pretty expensive ad campaigns. The fact is that they can afford to do this because lets face it they are making the revenue to support it. Now you can go ahead and spend you children's college tuition on an advertising campaign. Or you can follow some of the advise I am about to give you. You see I do not claim to be an expert at generating traffic but I sure do know how to get some and spend very little doing so.
There are many ways to generate low cost traffic without spending money that you don't have or can not afford. Many people will try to get into the high dollar ad campaigns and end up losing more than they ever thought they could ever lose. What I am going to attempt to do here is give you a few ways you can help your site out a great deal.
First you should do some traffic exchange, WTF! yeah you might be doing some right now and not even know that is what you are doing. It is very similar to link exchanges but you usually surf others sites for credits. Some examples of traffic exchanges would be SiteHoppin, Entrecard these are some of the best that I have found.
Next I would say that I would recommend that you make back links to your site and lots of them. Some easy ways to do this is to sign up for as many social sites as you can handle. Make sure that you put your URL in the profile. Next comment on blogs that you find to be interesting. I would say that you can do it on any blog, many say that it will do you no good to comment on a "nofollow" blog. I disagree with this because if you write real comments people will follow which will create a natural "dofollow". Then you need to be kind to others and post a link to them or maybe to a review with out expecting anything in return. You will get links back to you if you follow this rule of thumb, the reason why you will get them back is because good things always come to those that help others.
Join some forums and post some good content and feedback to others. They way you can generate traffic here is by setting up your forum signature. Make sure you check the TOS to ensure that you do not break any rules and get banned. Not only will you generate traffic from forums you will gain some priceless knowledge. I like to surf Digital Point Forum.
The last tip I can give you is to ensure that you have some really good content on your blog/site. I know many say content is king. What I will say is that content is like mother earth your blog will not live with out it,as we can not live without the earth. So on that note I would say you should blog from the heart and not jump on any banwagon. You see the MMO blogs are a dime a dozen.....wait my blog is a MMO blog! Yeah I know that! But I really believe that I am blogging from the heart here. So sue me for having a passion for money and helping others.
